Little Hamburgers in Gravy

Used in this weeks menu as seen here.

This recipe is very much made with whatever I have on hand and whatever mood strikes.  I’ll give the directions for what I did this week. 

2 lbs. ground beef

2 slices low carb bread

2 eggs

1/4 c. heavy cream

Salt & Pepper

2 pkgs. brown gravy mix

 

In a large bowl, combine (by hand) the meat, bread, eggs, cream, salt and pepper. 

Using a large scoop (for uniformity) scoop out and gently pat into small patties.  Place on baking sheet.

Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes or until done. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, prepare gravy mix according to package directions in a large pot.

Remove patties and drain on paper towels.  Add to gravy and heat all through.

 

My Mother has made this for years.  Even given it’s simplicity, it is one of my husband’s favorite meals.  Enjoy!
