3/4 C. Frozen mixed peppers
1/2 Onion, thinly sliced
2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1 Can *Hunt’s No Sugar Added Spaghetti Sauce
Olive Oil, to cover bottom of skillet
Parmesan Cheese
Sauté’ sausage in the Olive Oil until almost done. Add peppers, onion and garlic. Cook until sausage is well done. Stir in Spaghetti Sauce and heat through. Serve over your favorite pasta, adding Parmesan Cheese as desired.
Core, Peel and Slice Apples (I used 7)
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Water
Cinnamon to taste
Slightly more than 1/2 stick butter
Place all ingredients in a medium pan. Heat on medium-high until boiling. Reduce heat to low and cook until desired doneness.
I have to add that I called my Mother for these instructions rather than looking through my recipes. I found it amusing that it didn’t matter how many apples or the size of the apples she said to do it this way. She also cautioned me to not put a lid on them while cooking. So I asked her, “You said no lid at all, right?” She said “That’s what Grandmamma does.” Enough said. In our family if you do it the way Grandmamma does, it’s done the right way. Love that!
This week’s menu is already shifting as we have sickness at our house. The menu may go to the way-side as I tend to my little ones and pray that it doesn’t spread through the whole household!
