Homemade Pizza?
I'm not sure about Friday yet. Isn't that funny? I did some freezer cooking last week and I have so many options, but kind of like a hoarder, I'm holding on to it. Here is what part of the freezer looks like now:
It is very full here and on the top level as well. As I made the menu for this week, I decided that there were no "super busy" days that would demand a pre-prepped meal, so I'm holding on to what's in there until a busier week rolls around.Oh and by the way, if I've never told you before, if I do make homemade pizza, I will be using Money Saving Mom's pizza crust recipe. I make a few additions to her recipe, but I always use her recipe. When I make this, I always make two and put one in the freezer for another day.

I did a quick transformation this weekend. First I will give a little of "what it is." I have an old desk chair at my vanity in the master bath. I've often thought a small stool intended for that purpose would look better, but honestly, I like it being on wheels! ;) A couple years ago, I took the back off of the chair so it would be a "stool". As the years have gone on, and I have not found a chair to replace it, I finally decided it needed a makeover. After all, the seat was busted and that's not attractive! So, I picked up 1/2 yard of fabric and made a cover for it. I have to say for $2.49, it's great and I love the unexpected zebra print in my beige and gold color scheme! Here's a look:
I just love simple things and this one certainly is that! It was so very simple.
1. Cut a piece of fabric slightly larger than the seat of the chair. (Slightly larger to allow for seam allowance). This took 1/4 yard.
2. Take the remaining 1/4 yard, cut it into 4 strips.
3. Sew the 4 strips together to make one long strip.
4. Hem one long side as this will be the finished hem.
5. Run a basting stitch through the unfinished long side.
6. Pull the basting stitch on one end to form gathers. Pin to the seat cover. (Right sides together)
7. Sew ruffle to the seat cover. Remove basting stitch.
8. Put on the chair and admire!
Check out some very fab transformations at the same place I'm linking to Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch.
Have a great week!
Kim
